Статические огневые испытания прототипа ракеты SpaceX Starship SN8 прошли неудачно. Об этом сообщает портал space.com. По данным издания, специалисты потеряли контроль над гидравлической системой.

Почти все испытания прототипов заканчивались неудачно. В ноябре 2019 года Starship Mk1 лопнул при испытаниях на герметичность, затем, в феврале 2020 года, Starship SN1 разорвался на части во время наддува жидким азотом. Весной Starship SN3 и SN4 также взорвались сразу после запуска. Один прототип также лопнул при наддуве жидким азотом, а второй взорвался из-за утечки топлива. Тогда глава Маск объяснил неудачу человеческим фактором.
